Fireworks

Posted by Picasa
We went to the high school to see fireworks. We took our picnic blanket and at snacks while we watched. It was nice to be with the kids while they enjoyed them. As for Drew and I, all we could think about was how we were going to get out of the parking lot the fastest to avoid the traffic!

Dress-Up

Reese got lots more dress-up clothes for Christmas. I think she plays dress-up about 5 times and day. She also changes clothes several times a day. Her dad gets so frustrated, but I think it is so cute and girly!!!

The Search for the Perfect Photo

These are some photos we took before Christmas. We were trying to get the perfect photo, but with two kids that is nearly impossible. We got some cute ones--but none Christmas-card worthy (according to my standards). We did have a card, but we put them individual pictures!

Back to Blogging...

I know it has been a very long time since I have posted, but my life has been crazy with work, school, we have all been sick numerous times, and I had surgery over the break (tonsillectomy and deviated septum fixed).  Meredith stays on me all the time about keeping this updated, and I promise I will do better this time!!!

Ready for Bed

Davis loves bedtime. When we tell him that it is time for bed--he is on a mission. He starts gathering all his stuff. He gets his cup of water, his blanket, and his puppet blankie. Sometimes he takes a book.

Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Reese talked about carving pumpkins all week. She talked about carving in great detail, including digging the seeds and the gook out (don't know where she learned all of her information). I didn't really want to do such a messy project, but I decided to go ahead and do it with her.  I ended up doing all the work. She made one dig and then decided that it was too much work.

The next door neighbors walked with us.

Reese and Davis both had a blast on Halloween. Reese trick or treated at the high school with her class during the day and brought homes two huge bags full of candy. Then we went on Halloween night. We only went to a few houses, but they had fun. Davis said "thank you" when he got his first piece of candy. During the wagon ride he had to hold a piece in his hand the entire time. By the end, he knew the whole routine: get out of the wagon, go to the door, knock, and then someone comes to give you candy!
